Gone to the Birds!

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
Edith Sitwell
“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome."Anne Bradstreet, The Works of Anne Bradstreet

It's winter!! Im just a little bit bored!! But...winter is a time for being bored then finding a million things you can do inside that you rarely have time for in the spring and summer..you know when "outdoors" becomes your primary fancy..I've been looking for bird feeder projects on the net and in my favorite magazine.. "Birds and Blooms" an excellent magazine for the gardener and bird watcher alike!! I found one project using empty rolls of toilet paper. You take the cardboard cyclinder and smear peanut butter on it, you then simply roll it in bird seed and attach a ribbon for hanging!! So easy!! So Fun!! And I imagine the birds...and squirrels will love it..
I found these other two photos..showcasing projects that look rather simple to accomplish. One uses a old coffee jar, and the other a empty 20 oz bottle.
