"In Indiana"
Southern Indiana is a beautiful mixture of both old and new.. With many lovely little towns gracing the hilly landscape. It's amazing the difference between Northern Indiana and Southern Indiana. In the North where my uncle lives it is flat with fields as far as the eye can see. Sweet corn, soybeans, and windmills clutter the view. In the south the rolling hills and deciduous forests create a sweet ambiance that is only Southern Indiana. The hills here were created by the recession of a glacier during the last ice age. Here in Southern Indiana we are part of what is known as the Eastern Woodlands of North America. Each season is so enchanting.. My favorites include the golden/brick colored leaves in autumn..many people here still go on "Sunday Drives" simply to enjoy the view. Also, the crisp look of our landscape in the spring.. so green..so magical. Daffodils line the hillsides growing wild and their emergence always lets me know.. spring is here!!! I decided to post this because it's nice to have a little background on where a writer comes from...
