Derby Day

Here in southern Indiana we are big fans of "The Derby". With Kentucky just across the river, derby parties and horse racing has become a time honored tradition in these parts. Most people are glued to their TV's during the 6 o'clock hour on that first Saturday in May. This year I'm going for Danza and Dances with Fate..good luck my hoofed friends....Around here Derby Day also marks the day when you can start planting your flowers and summer vegetables.. Many people say if you wait till derby day you should be safe from all chance of frost. Nine times out of ten those are pretty good odds to go by..
