Last night storms rolled into our neck of the woods! It all started about 9 o'clock, with the grand finale at 3:30 am..Lots of rain and incredible bursts of thunder and lightening. It looked like something was hitting baseballs at a invisible shield protecting the house, with burst of light occurring ever so often. The pets were scared..crouching behind bathroom doors, hiding in our beds. We could have used a little drink. But the fierce winds and in some spots hail.. we could have done without. This morning I ventured out to inspect the damage. Most things were ok. A few of my tomato plants were ripped by the heavy winds andwere laying on the ground. I always hate to see that, but its a to common occurrence here. Today I will go out to get some tomato cages..we need them!! Lesson learned.
