Fall

Well today is a old rainy day...blahh. It's been raining for about 4 days now..yep Indiana has been covered up by storms and inclement weather. But this type of weather is very typical for this time of year, people say the rains make the trees change as fall opens its door. Sometimes without the rain the leaves wait until November to change... This year is very typical. Here are some lovely quotes about Fall. One of my favorite times of year!
“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
Henry David Thoreau
“Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.”
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
“Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile."
[Indian Summer]”
William Cullen Bryant
“Her pleasure in the walk must arise from the exercise and the day, from the view of the last smiles of the year upon the tawny leaves and withered hedges, and from repeating to herself some few of the thousand poetical descriptions extant of autumn--that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness--that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling.”
Jane Austen, Persuasion
