The Vine Moon
Magic makes the world go around..well at least to me..smile. According to my Full Moon app the next Full moon is on Monday, September 8th. This just so happens to be the Vine Moon, aka every one's favorite time of celebration and merriment. The Vine Moon is known as "The Moon of Celebration" It is a time to let down your hair, drink wine, and celebrate this wonderful time of natures bounty and harvest. Fall is soon approaching, the temperatures will soon cool, and Winter is in the near future. It's time to celebrate the nice weather...while you still can. So enjoy!!! I want to make some yummy treats for this Vine Moon party... Oh what to make...let's see.

Ham and Cheese Dip
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened 2/3 cup mayonnaise 1-1/2 cups diced fully cooked ham 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese 1 tablespoon finely chopped green pepper 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard 3/4 cup rye cracker crumbs 2 tablespoons butter, melted Rye crackers
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in the ham, cheese, green pepper and mustard. Spread into an ungreased 9-in. pie plate.
- Toss the cracker crumb and butter; sprinkle over cream cheese mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 12-15 minutes or until heated through. Serve with crackers.Yield: about 3 cups.
