"Enchanting"

Happy Full Moon to All! Though the moon has appeared full to me for the last couple days..Today is actually the true day of the full moon. According to my moon app the Moon will full at exactly 6:53 tonite. That sounded kind of funny.."according to my moon app" since when were the cycles of nature known best by our shiny little boxes that can do everything but talk to us...Oh that's right now they can do that too...LOL Me and a friend have had a great debate over how to calculate the "Moon"..though we have settled all that..We were both going to try to go "Oldschool", meaning we were simply going to look up in the sky and say.."MAN the moon is full" and then mark that down on a piece of paper. Each additional day that passed we were going to make note of how the moon changed and looked until eventually it went dark. Then we wanted to count the days and try and figure out how many days it took for the moon to go through her phases. This task is alot more difficult then you think!! Believe me!!. According to our calender the moon goes through its revolution in about 29-30 days.. Then why does everyone say its 28?? If you go by a 28 day moon revolution, it doesn't fit onto our calender...and then time as we know it starts pushing forward till eventually nothing makes sense....OMG don't get me started..I'll get a headache. Having said that.. We both have let all that go..and on to different matters. We have it figured out to the best of our abilities. But..we still want to see what it be like to live as our ancient ancestors..without the benefit of a wall calender and computer program to spew our information at us.. Though those in earlier times may have calculated time differently, they developed quite advanced models for time keeping..some would say they evened surpassed our current technology?? So how did they do it?? With elaborately set stone formations? Who really knows..but the point is they new just as well as we do when the moon fulled and when it went dark. If only today we could harness their ideas and master their technology, maybe it wouldn't be so difficult to figure out..The Full Moon is a time of Celebration!!Though I have to work tonite..which I'm glad because I've been off far too long.. I'll miss the festivities. Hopefully we can celebrate in the days to come...
